A Night of Jazz with Spa City Stompers

Get ready for a toe-tapping fun time. Musicians include George “Doc” Ryan, trumpet; Earl Hesse, clarinet; John Leisenring, trombone; Clyde Pound, keyboard; David Higginbotham, bass; and Paul Stivitts, drums. Sing along with “When the Saints Go Marching In,” “Won’t You Come Home Bill Bailey,” “Do You Know What It Means to Miss New Orleans,” etc.

The SpaCity Stompers continue to promise the live performance of traditional jazz music. This group is a popular, entertaining band for both listening and dancing pleasures. These talented musicians truly are “All Stars” as they have individually played for some of the top bands, with performances ranging from New Orleans, to Hollywood, to Hawaii.

Their vast array of musical selections enables them to play and sing a wide variety of numbers, certain to please all listeners. The interactions between The SpaCity Stompers and the audience is fun and one can sense the rhythmic connection. The band’s enthusiasm for their craft is contagious and their desire to entertain easily makes them a fan favorite!

Jazz Night at The Ohio Club

Presented in a favorite watering hole of Hot Springs and the oldest bar in Arkansas, Jazz Night at The Ohio Club will feature the Clyde Pound Trio with featured JazzFest guest artist Tim Leahey, recently retired trumpet soloist with the premier jazz ensemble of the U.S. Air Force, The Airmen of Note. Enjoy an evening of progressive jazz in Arkansas' oldest continuously serving bar.

Classical & Jazz Blow Out!

Voices Rising ensemble and the ATM (Anything That Moves) jazz combo come together in a singular evening of classical music and jazz music with featured JazzFest guest artist Tim Leahey, recently retired trumpet soloist with the premier jazz ensemble of the U.S. Air Force, The Airmen of Note.   Classical music and jazz music will come together in a "Blow Out" performeance.  This evening, accompanied by an optional dinner, is Bursting With Entertainment in an intimate night club style venue that offers a rare opportunity to experience the musicians up close and personal.

Time: Dinner Time 6pm / Show Time 7:00pm

This traditional outdoor concert under the Sky-Bridge that covers 200 Broadway Street will present a day of music on two stages. Bring your favorite lawn chair!! There will be food trucks and beverages so plan on spending the day listing to some amazing Jazz in Hot Springs’ Entertainment District.

12:00pm - 106th Army Band Jazz Essemble directed by Cody Jerrigan

1:00pm - Tenor Madness (Four saxophones in one big performance!)

2:00pm - Arkansas High School Jazz Band directed by Gary Meggs

3:00pm - University of Arkansas in Monticello directed by Jason Smith with special JazzFest guest trumpeter Tim Leahey, recently retired soloist with the premier jazz ensemble of the U.S. Air Force, Airmen of Note

4:00pm - Frog Squad from Memphis presenting a  psychedelic, avant-garde, jazz sound

5:00pm - Arkansas All-Star Big Band, a  17-piece all-star band of the finest jazz musicians in Arkansas, Louisiana, and East Texas

6:00pm - BLOCK PARTY JAM! key musicians from the day will join together in a one of a kind musical hour jam.

Admission: Free! No Coolers Please. Your support of the beverage and food vendors helps to keep this concert free. Do bring your lawn chair to assure a comfortable seat.

Smooth Jazz Essentials with the Stateline Avenue Band

After an eight year hiatus, Stateline Avenue Band regrouped in 2018 hitting the ground running........smoothly.  After a CD release Party at The Redbone Magic Brewing company in Texas early 2019, the group had their first smooth jazz hit “Cuban Nights” on Smooth Jazz radio all through Europe and Asia. There newest release, “Summer Samba “has already been released with SmoothJazz.com Global worldwide.

The band has a special program for the Hot Springs Jazz Festival including smooth jazz and traditional jazz.
