Jazz Night at the Ohio Club

Known as a favorite a stop off place for many a celebrity (Al Capone, Bugsy Siegel, Mae West, and Lucky Luciano) The Ohio Club will feature the music of the Clyde Pound Trio, with special guest artist from NYC Allen Won on saxophone and flute, in an evening of jazz stylings reminiscent of the early years. Clyde Pound Trio includes Clyde Pound on piano, David Higginbotham on bass, Paul Stivitts on drums.

Time: 7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

Classical & Jazz Blow Out!

The Arkansas Brass quintet and the ATM (Anything That Moves) jazz combo come together in a singular evening of classical and jazz music. The program allows a rare opportunity to experience the Arkansas Brass quintet followed by ATM. Included are special guests Allen Won on saxophone & flute, mezzo-soprano Diane Kesling and jazz vocalist Shirley Chauvin who will emcee the evening. The evening’s highlight is when Arkansas Brass and ATM join together to create a “Blow Out” of Classical and Jazz. Presented in the intimate night club style of the Five Star Theatre, the evening offers a rare opportunity to experience this quality of musicians up close and personal.

Shirley Chauvin as Emcee


The traditional outdoor concert “Jazz in the Streets” under the Broadway Street Sky-Bridge will feature five groups on two stages from noon – 6pm ending with the World Famous GoGo Brass Funk Band, Brass-A-Holics.

11am – 106th Army National Guard Band

12pm – Southern Arkansas University Jazz Ensemble

1pm – University of Arkansas in Monticello with special guests Allen Won on saxophone and flute and Mike Vax on trumpet

2pm – ATM (Anything That Moves) jazz combo with special guest artists Allen Won on saxophone and flute, Mike Vax on trumpet and Bob Dowell on trombone 

3pm – Latin jazz band Calle Soul

4pm to 6pm – New Breed Brass Band of New Orleans


Location: Under the Broadway Street Sky-bridge in downtown Hot Springs' Entertainment District
Admission: Free!  No Coolers Please.  Bring your lawn chair.

Jazz Mass @ St. Luke’s Episcopal Church

Join St. Luke’s Episcopal Church at a very special Sunday Service with live jazz music featuring Chris Parker on piano; Bill Huntington on bass; Jay Payette on drums; Shelley Martin on flute, alto & soprano saxophone; and Matt Dickson on tenor saxophone.

Stardust Big Band Tea Dance

Stardust is the quintessential big band based out of Hot Springs Arkansas, the city that came into its own during the jazz era. Come join the dancers and music aficionados from Arkansas as well as the six surrounding states to hear the driving swing, melodious ballads, rhythmic Latin, and 20th century pop tunes that will make you feel young again. Stardust continues a 25-year tradition of performing at the Arlington Resort Hotel New Year's Eve Gala.  Whether you come to dance or just come to listen, we invite you to be a part of the continuing history of musical excitement that is the Stardust Big Band.

Rhythm & Rocks Jazz

The grand opening celebration for Legoria’s Rhythm & Rocks Jazz Bristro will present two shows featuring Grammy Award-winning jazz guitarist and singer Jonathan Butler.  Legoria’s is an upscale venue designed for mature adult music-lovers that will feature live musical performances with a full-service bar and bistro.
